Since 2017 I have been engaged in speculative research at Dyffryn House and Gardens, a National Trust property in South Wales.

I have been gathering materials in and exploring spaces which the public are not able to enter or at times when the House and Gardens are not open; collecting when the spaces are quiet, or across the point where they open up or shut down.

I am interested in the liminal spaces and times, I have recorded from ether side of windows, above and beneath a pond, as the light is fading or the house waking up and receiving visitors and through a night. Interested in the changing activation of the spaces as they are occupied by different groups and in differing ways .

In May June 2019 I was involved in 2 research exhibitions with the artist Kirsten Adkins supported by and at STRIX Gallery, Birmingham. Through these I began to test out how I might work with some of the materials I had been gathering and what I might want to concentrate on through further research.
